Yes, today is April Fool’s Day, but this isn’t a joke. Food brand Hamburger Helper just dropped a trap album that has the internet going crazy.
Aptly titled, “Watch the Stove,” the food-themed mixtape features songs like “Feed the Streets,” “Food For Your Soul,” and “In Love With the Glove.” And while the whole thing could have gone terribly wrong, the songs–which touts the tastiness of Hamburger Helper–are actually quite catchy.
When news of “Watch the Stove” hit Twitter, folk had a lot to say…most of it positive.
Yo! Hamburger helper really dropped this dope ass track.

While Hamburger Helper did indeed win the day with its mixtape, we hope this doesn’t open the door to more brands putting out rap compilations. But given companies like IHop’s brash social media presence, this could be the start of a new trend.
